Seven browser games: six built with plain HTML5 Canvas, plus id Software’s 1993 DOOM via js-dos. No frameworks, just like the good old days, except everything is green and vaguely threatening.

  • PACKET_SNAKE

    Controls: Arrow keys / WASD

Eat the network packets before they time out. Each packet consumed increases your length and score. Don’t run into the walls or yourself.

  • HEX_BREACH

    Controls: Type to neutralise

Malicious hex payloads are raining down. Type them exactly to neutralise each one before it reaches the kernel. You have 3 lives.

  • FIREWALL_BREAKOUT

    Controls: Mouse / ← →

Your packet has to punch through five layers of firewall rules. Deflect it with the paddle; drop it three times and the connection is dead.

  • PORT_INVADERS

    Controls: ← → · Space

Waves of malware processes are descending on your open ports. Shoot them down before they reach the perimeter, and dodge their payloads.

  • LOGIC_BOMB_SWEEPER

Controls: Right-click or hold to flag

14 logic bombs are hidden in the memory grid. Clear every safe address; the numbers tell you how many bombs sit in adjacent cells. Flag what you can’t touch.

  • MEMORY_LEAK

    Controls: Repeat the sequence

The heap is leaking addresses in a pattern. Watch the sequence, then repeat it exactly. One wrong read and it’s a segfault. How deep can you go?

  • DOOM

    Controls: Keyboard · 1993 shareware

The real thing: id Software’s 1993 shareware episode, running in your browser via js-dos. The 5.3 MB game file downloads only when you press Boot.
